You can vacation responsibly and minimize your exposure to the coronavirus when you choose to stay at one of High Rock Rentals log cabins.
First let me assure you that every log home at High Rock Rentals is cleaned according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published standards – and then some.
Travel cautiously - drive to Black Mountain, NC. We are conveniently located just 15 miles east of Asheville, NC. If you’re healthy, you should still make sure that on the drive to High Rock Rentals, you make only minimal stops, practice social distancing, and wear masks and use hand sanitizer when you have to pump gas or leave the car for essentials.
Check-ins at High Rock don’t require any one to one interaction. Your booking will be completed online and your self check-in instructions will be sent by email. Once you’ve settled in, it’s the same as your own home where you control all the exposures.
You can pack your groceries or make a stop at Ingles at the bottom of the mountain before you arrive. If you would like grocery delivery and have an Amazon Prime account you can have Whole Foods deliver directly to the cabin (other local grocery stores do not offer delivery). Inside the home will be stocked with full kitchen equipment, and a gas grill will be on your private deck.
High Rock Rentals property consists of 5 log cabins on 25 acres, each is private and secluded and you may never see any of the other guest. Please be a respectful guest, and practice social distancing and have a mask handy when exploring the property in case you should cross paths with others hiking. On property you will find hiking trails, a creek and pond to explore, fire pits and hammocks.
In the town of Black Mountain, many restaurants are open at limited capacity, but all offer takeout. Nearby Blue Ridge Parkway is a beautiful drive and you never have to leave your car. If you wish to venture out much of the Blue Ridge Parkway and adjacent hiking trails are open for passage. Parks as well as state and national forest areas are open, including the North Carolina Arboretum, Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park, and Grandfather Mountain. So, too, are Pisgah National Forest, Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
